Modena By Fraser Bangkok Hotel Review

Hello my loves, can’t believe it’s already end of January 2018! Early Jan was a whirlwind of unforgettable travels in Thailand. Finally home for a good few weeks, I have now to document my adventures before entering the second month of the year! I was in Thailand over the new year eve and stayed in 3 different hotels and today I would really love to share the one that I have stayed for most of the days when I was there – Modena By Fraser Bangkok. This will be a long post as I have too much goods to share and I hope you will take away something at the end and enjoy yourself if you happen to visit the hotel!Modena By Fraser Bangkok was opened in 2016 and the building and facilities are fairly new. The hotel is enviably set in the heart of the business district of Rama 4 Ratchadaphisek, opposite the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. It is also close to famous  Khlonh Toei market and not forgetting to mention that MRT station is just right at its doorstep (Exit 1) and Terminal 21 is just a stop away! The hotel has also introduced tuk tuk service where your trip are made more convenient!

Check out their Tuk Tuk Route to make you planning easier!=)

Steeping into the building makes me feel home and refresh despite the busy schedule I had earlier.

Drinks are free and available for their guest and I really want to compliment the act as I really feel super duper thirsty whenever I came back from somewhere and the drinks were just in time for the very dehydrated me!

This clearly shown that Modena By Fraser Bangkok has achieved their objective by allowing their guests to transit as smoothly as possible into their “new home”. The lift lobby acts as a conversation starter where the bright yellow and white container walls along each floor resembles the shipping scene of the nearby Klong Toei Port. On top that, I really wanted to highlight how careful the hotel is, to distribute a sleeping pack that helps guests to feel relaxed and recharged for the day ahead.

And also a stress ball for those who needs to release stress haha

Upon checking in, I took a tour around the compound. property. A key uniqueness of Modena by Fraser Bangkok lies in its art and design pieces, which not only draws inspiration from the surroundings, but also complement the local environment. For example, the enlisted award-winning designer Ploenchan ‘Mook’ brought all she had learned within her 20 years of experience in interior design to create Modena by Fraser Bangkok’s masterpiece, ‘Took-a- Tuk-Tuk’ – a huge textile piece that takes pride of place in the lobby. The monochromic treatment and staggered panels lend a kinetic flow to the depiction of Thailand’s iconic mode of transport.Besides, most of the other “Thai touches” at Modena by Fraser Bangkok come courtesy of a selection of simple and clean pop art graphics that adorn guestroom walls. Clearly inspired by local scenes, images include stylish and brightly-colored paintings of motorcycle taxis, and market vendors carrying traditional woven baskets.

Modena By Fraser Bangkok also leverages on energy-efficient technologies as part of its commitment to environmental sustainability. Many of the home grown vege and fruits can be found here.
In addition, groceries used are also locally-sourced to minimise carbon footprint while supporting local farmers. I’m really impress by how a hotel values its CSR at the same time enables the guests to enjoy truly authentic cuisine in the region.

Speaking about their food. YUMZZZZ!! Their menu is really memorable and playful. From light, refreshing appetisers, to colourfully-presented and satisfying main-courses prepared by their talented chef and I just couldnt ask for more!
I am so excited to see what they serve for breakfast EVERY morning and to be honest, Modena By Fraser Bangkok never failed my tummy!

Besides, they have also introduced something special for lunch and make sure you try them out if you have time cuz i did and its really good at a very reasonable price!

The view from the bathroom is really a boom! I loveeeee it so much and to be honest, I always take my own sweet time in the bath tub. For guests who are abit shy, you can always wind down the curtain and cover it. As for me, great views > shy.
However, to be on the safe side, I did put on my bathrobe until I get in the water. LOL
